Electric recumbent bike prototype on the roads

CoinnoNews8 Comments

We are adding mile after mile on our electric recumbent prototype, and it fails to fail. It just keeps going and going.

I can’t stop riding it. It’s so comfortable, and it offers such a great ride. The view is fantastic. It’s like chilsplay going up the steepest hills and I don’t break a sweat. Now the prototype testing was so easy that the only worry I have now is what outfit to wear when everybody is looking at me. In the night the mood lightning gives the best vibes around town. The crowd is getting wild and everybody wants to take selfies with the bike.

    1. Hi Christian,

Indeed interesting motor/battery wheel : smart integration !
This could be an option for the one in quest of the “all integrated driving system”.

      Have a nice riding day!

  1. How about the battery vertically under the seat for better balance and more nimble handling. Maybe in a streamlined container.

    1. Hi Aarne,

For the battery support and carrier, we have used “standard” solution from motor/battery manufacturer, and then not developed specific carrier against/under the seat.
New carrier be done once we have additional resources 🙂

  3. Hello,

Very nice lineup of bikes and clever designs, especially the chainless front gear-hub. Is it your own design? Planetary gears?

Would love to test ride one of your bikes, but Australia is a long way away from Norway.

    Cheers,

  4. When will the prototype be available in the US?
Are there any dealers in the US?
How far does the recumbent go on a single charge?
    Does the bike come apart?

    1. Not yet signed an American dealer. If you know someone interested, let me know !
The distance per battery charge depends on the way you will manage the energy stored. In average, it will reach between 50 and 100km ( 30 to 60 miles )
The frame is just separated in front and rear, the seat is removed too.
